Color Blocking

by KJOHN posted June 8, 2011 category Uncategorized

I have this new fascination with the summer’s color blocking trend. BUUUUT I mainly wear a lot of neutrals; so this attempt was rather tough. I was given this amazing Shades of Greige blazer from a friend and I worked my way around it. Being able to maintain my neutral color aesthetic I paired it these pants I purchased from Zara a year ago. For some reason I was always anti-blazer. I felt it was too conservative which is what I’m kind of against! However, I’ve come to accept the fact that a blazer and a little color should always be in a man’s wardrobe. Enjoy..

  1. I think you pulled it off well considering typically color blocking is done with vivid colors. Great job (on a side-note, those shoes you’re wearing remind me of my childhood lol)

  3. Yup, blue + orange = one of the best colour combos. I’m very much a sucker for stripes, rad colour combos, bunches of rings, and grandpa sandals, so totally loving your outfit. (I own a sweet pair of grandma sandals myself.)

    • thanks brotha…I’m slowly getting into the color spectrum of my wardrobe

    • If you added a cute cuff and shorter slevees it would be darling for a girl. Just match the sleeve cuff to the cute girly lining and a girl could easily wear that. How about a 3/4 sleeve? I don’t have any little ones, but love your sewing.
