Festive Pants

I’m probably EXTREMELY late in the game, but I’ve learned to appreciate shopping in the women’s section in stores. Clothes does not seem to have a gender divide anymore. A few weeks ago at a Club Monaco event I saw one of the staff wearing these awesome printed pant that I could not take my eyes off of the entire time she was talking to me. Eventually, I had to cut her off and ask if they made them for men. Of course, with my luck, they didn’t but she kept encouraging me to try on the women’s just for fun. To my surprise the size 12 (the biggest size they carry in women’s -_-…) fitted me perfectly and I was hooked! Other than the pockets being too small, some women’s pants are no different from a man’s skinny pants. Now every time I shop in retail stores and thrift stores I go straight to the women’s section. The only downside to this is I have to spend more time shopping in BOTH sections now…

Bummy Chic Shit

I love this new coat I found from one of my recent thrift excursions. The print, color, and fit is so perfect. In regards to the “clutch” (loosely speaking), I was very hesitant to purchase it because it is a women’s accessory. However, IT’S TRANSPARENT!!!! I could not resist to obtain this cool bag and it’s big enough to be considered a man’s bag as well. What do you guys think?

It has to be something in NYC’s air that when the cooler weather approaches we all run to our closets and put on dark clothes. The guy who is usually wearing prints on prints has been wearing a lot of dark colors lately. I’ve also been spotting this transition from my friend Jessie of Adore Daily . Now this is VERY rare for her because I usually catch her in the brightest of colors no matter what the weather is. However, I think I like the way we paired our “All Black, Don’t F%&# With Us” New Yorker look together. lol

Black Minimal

I’ve been on this “all black” kick these past few weeks. It could probably be because of me always having to rush out the door and black is the quickest and easiest thing to put together. This button-up has to be one of the riskiest pieces I have in my closet and it’s all thanks to Bobby. I met my friend Bobby of Bobby Day a year ago and he’s been my boy ever since. Everything he designs is what I dream of having in my closet. Which is why I had to have this sheer panel shirt from his “Trade” collection.

The Jumper

From the start of summer it has been my mission to find a one-piece (jumper). This Levi’s find was from the collaboration that was done with Opening Ceremony from last spring. I did not like how long the legs were so I got them tailored into shorts. I love it even more now and I’m trying to get as much use out of it before the summer is over. I wonder how I can transition it into Fall…

Due to seriously warm weather I’ve been forced to “strip” lol. I’m not the biggest fan of shorts but I couldn’t pass these up. The print and the fabric is so amazing (not to mention it fits me perfectly). I also found this Harley Davidson shirt from a recent thrift excursion that I’ve been wearing almost everyday. I know my best friend Nicole of Running In Wedges will be proud of me wearing this vintage piece. She just might even try to steal it from me!

Summer is officially here! I spent the first hottest day of the year with two amazing girls, Lizzy , (one half of the design duo William Okpo )and Moya at Riis Beach. The day was filled with good sun, relaxation, and dancing on the hot sand to random songs on our playlists. All in all…my first beach day was dope and there will be plenty more where this came from. Enjoy.

Ripped and Baggy

Skinny jeans can get kind of boring to wear after a while. I,myself, decided to tap back to my roots and wear loose jeans again from time to time lol. It took a while, but I finally found the perfect pair of baggy jeans. What makes these jeans even better is the fact that they have rips in all the right places.
