The Detail

I find it very weird that, unlike other individuals, I’m more inspired by street style than actual runway shows. I’ve noticed a lot of guys wearing head wraps lately and I felt that was something I could NEVER pull off. I just thought it was a little too extreme for my liking. However, I was motivated from looking at movies from the 5o’s , 60′s and even the late and great brotha Tupac. This styling can be pulled off in a very masculine way. It’s all on how one carries it and puts it together.

  1. You can wear anything dude!
I do also get more inspired from street style than runways. Actually I don’t understand the runway fashion, it’s just look wierd to me. Haha!

    • ha thanks so much Lisa. Yea I love the dynamic of runway but me getting inspired from what I see them put together rarely occurs

  2. Yeah street style is more inspiring – cause its more real you see how people put their own twist on things.

As for your outfit – swear you can pull off anything, love the pattern clashing.

  7. Didn’t I tell you that the full body floral was a win! haha. But seriously, as always, the creativity is appreciated and the boundaries you completely destroy when it comes to your style is inspiring. No one’s attempting the head wrap. Another first.

  8. I can understand the fear and perceived difficulty in wearing a head wrap. I think the key is understand which blends of colors complement you the best, just as in any other garment.

  9. Word. A busy street corner beats out and runway i always say.

  10. I like the fact that men are beginning to wear head wraps. It’s shows spiritual awareness and cultural pride. This post is nostalgic of the Head Wrap post Spencer Edwards from the blog “Proper Posture” did. Good post.
